  1. All the patients were divided into three groups depending on the narrowest width of the hole drawing a line with the caliper tool parallel to the retinal pigment epithelium: small (<250 µm), medium (>250–<400 µm) and large (>400 µm). SF6 = sulfur hexafluoride; C3F8 = perfluoropropane
