Surgical images of vitreous surgery with and without image-sharpening algorithms. The lightened area of the vitreous cavity is larger and the retinal and choroidal vessels appear more clearly with 25% intensity during vitrectomy. The folds of the epiretinal membrane (ERM) and internal limiting membrane (ILM) stained blue with brilliant blue G appear more clearly with 25% intensity during ERM and ILM peeling. The peeled ILM appears more clearly with the color adjustments that enhance the yellow color of the ILM stained blue with brilliant blue G
